Arrival at Brandenburgh House of the Watermen &c. with an Address to the Queen on the 3d October 1820
The watermen on the Thames were responsible for the movement of goods and passengers. The Company of Watermen and Lightermen had been established by an Act of Parliament in 1555. The Watermen's address was presented to Queen Caroline during the proceedings against her for adultery in the House of Lords. Brandenburgh House was demolished shortly after this event, in 1822.
