Obverse: Bust of Admiral the Duc de VendÔòá┬¢me, with long hair, in a lace collar and mantle with ribbon and order (right). Legend: 'CESAR . DVC . DE . VANDOSME .' Reverse: Plan of the mainland, sea and island of Elba, inscribed 'ILVA', with a fortress and nine ships attacking it. Legend: 'NON . HAEC . SINE . NVMINE . DIVVM .' (This has not been done without divine aid.) Exergue: '1647.'
