The model is made from iron and wood and consists of an elliptical shaped iron strop with a circular collar drilled at the top to enable the block to swivel. A simulated wooden sheave is fitted at the lower end of the strop and is held in place by two screws. The swivelling mechanism would appear to be incomplete.
