Analemmatic dial

Analemmatic dial for 51 30' north. This dial folds together and carries with it a perpetual almanac. It comprises an ordinary horizontal dial and an elliptical dial. The horizontal dial, numbered IIII-XII, I-VIII, has an eight-point compass rose named by English initials. It is set beneath a hinged brass gnomon. The elliptical dial has a degree scale around its edge and an hour scale numbered IIII-XII, I-VIII. Its east side displays a declination scale while the west side has a zodiac scale. There is a slot along the meridian line to allow the (replacement) steel gnomon to be adjusted for the declination. On the back of the elliptical dial there is a scale along the slit for the times of sunrise and sunset.

Manufactured in the UK

All products are printed in the UK, using the latest digital presses and a giclée printmaking process.

We only use premium branded inks, and colours are independently verified to last between 100 and 200 years.

Delivery & returns

We print everything to order so delivery times may vary but all framed pictures are despatched within 5-7 days via courier or recorded mail.

Due to the coronovirus pandemic and Brexit situation, current shipping times may be longer, particularly for destinations outside the UK.

Delivery to the UK is £10 for a single framed print.

We will happily replace your order if everything isn’t 100% perfect.
