Dutch ships in a Mediterranean harbour
A portrayal of a Mediterranean port which is on the left, with a church on the hill and houses coming down to the water's edge, where there are several groups of people on the shore. In the centre middle distance is a walled town with hills beyond. A Dutch ship, crest visible, dominates the harbour entrance flying the Dutch flag and another ship enters the harbour to the right. In the foreground of the picture are two wide bottomed boats with men unloading stores.
