Jug transfer-printed in black on one side with a view of HMS 'Agamemnon' at anchor and the other with the 'Great Eastern' under sail and steam

Jug transfer-printed in black on one side with a view of HMS 'Agamemnon' at anchor and the other with the 'Great Eastern' under sail and steam. The prints are inscribed 'Agamemnon 91 guns' and 'The Great Eastern 'Leviathan'. The jug has a shaped lip with rope scrolling and acorns around the top of the jug, both inside and out, and rope decoration on the scroll handle. It commemorates the first transatlantic submarine telegraph cable. The 'Agamemnon', Lyon's flagship during the Crimean War, made the first unsuccesful attempt in 1858, and the cable was laid successfully by the 'Great Eastern' (originally built as Leviathan) in 1866.

All products are printed in the UK, using the latest digital presses and a giclée printmaking process.

We only use premium branded inks, and colours are independently verified to last between 100 and 200 years.

Delivery & returns

We print everything to order so delivery times may vary but all framed pictures are despatched within 5-7 days via courier or recorded mail.

Due to the coronovirus pandemic and Brexit situation, current shipping times may be longer, particularly for destinations outside the UK.
