'Orsova' (1908); Passenger vessel
Scale: Unknown. A waterline model of a passenger vessel. The hull is painted black with green at the waterline and white bulwarks. The decks are painted off-white. The foredeck includes two tall ventilators, a pair of cargo hatch covers and two cranes. The long, low superstructure has a promenade deck and, above it, a boat deck. At the forward end is a foremast and abaft of it, two skylights. Aft of these is the bridge house flanked by a pair of rectangular bridge wings. There is a pair of cranes immediately in front of them. Six pairs of lifeboats are stowed on davits. Between them are twenty ventilators of various sizes (two detached), and a pair of funnels, painted corn yellow denoting Orient Line. To the rear of the boat deck is a further skylight and a mainmast. On the aft deck is what appears to be a cargo hatch with four separate hatch covers. It is served by a pair of cranes aft of it. Two raised open decks at the stern are surmounted by a nest of eight lifeboats stowed in pairs, with two pairs on either side of the deck. On base of model: "154".
