Aircraft carriers in the Malta convoy
Operation Pedestal was a British operation to get desperately needed supplies to the island of Malta in August 1942 during the Second World War. The two carriers in the picture are 'Victorious' and 'Indomitable'. Although uncertain, this painting may depict the Pedestal Convoy around 11 August 1942.
