British & North American Royal Mail steam ship 'Persia' (1855)

David Kirkaldy was chief draughtsman at the shipbuilding firm of Robert Napier & Sons Ltd, Glasgow. His plan for the 'Persia', the first iron-hulled vessel built for Cunard, was the only engineering drawing to be exhibited at the Royal Academy. 'Persia' took the Blue Riband for the fastest sea crossing of the Atlantic in July 1856, a record she held until 1862.

We print directly from extremely high-resolution master files to ensure faithful reproduction of the original items.

Prices vary according to the dimensions of the original plans.

All products are printed in the UK, using the latest digital presses and a giclée printmaking process.

We only use premium branded inks, and colours are independently verified to last between 100 and 200 years.

Delivery & returns

We print everything to order so delivery times may vary but all ship plan prints are despatched within 2-4 days via courier or recorded mail.

Delivery to the UK is £5 for a ship plan of any size.

We will happily replace your order if everything isn’t 100% perfect.
