This geographical plan of the Island of Saint Helena is dedicated by permission to Field Marshal His Royal Highness the Duke of Kent and Strathearn

Scale 1:9,050, North is at 223 degrees. This is the second edition, single sheet, hand coloured engraving. The chart is ungraduated and has a scale in miles. Land topography is shown in bird's-eye view and Estates and places of interest are named. The sea is decorated with ships and whales. Facsimiles of Napoleon's signatures are reproduced at the bottom right.

Napoleon surrendered to the British in July 1815 and was exiled to St Helena, giving rise to public celebration and curiosity which this map was published to satisfy. This second edition shows the position of Napoleon's first residence in the centre of the island and his current residence to the west in Longwood.
