NMM, Progress Book, volume 2, folio 179 states that 'Vigilant' (1745) was surveyed by Admiralty Order dated 8 April at Portsmouth Dockyard. She arrived on 30 April 1747 and was docked on 12 May 1747. After being undocked on 16 May the 'Vigilant' was re-docked on 11 June 1747. Having been undocked on 12 June, she sailed on 21 June 1747 after being refitted at the cost of
