Model of the Walton Container Terminal IN COPYRIGHT?

Scale: 1:500. A model of the Walton Container Terminal, made predominately in wood and plastics and painted. It depicts two container ships being loaded or unloaded at the same quayside, each handled by two cranes. The foremost vessel is smaller, and has a black-painted hull and white upperworks and superstructure. The other vessel is larger with an orange stripe at the waterline, with pale grey upper hull and white superstructure. Both depicted vessels are partly loaded with containers. The quayside is marked with yellow rails for the four cranes and white road markings. Beyond are nine areas marked out in white grids for storing containers, and marked "A", "B", "C", "D", "E", "F", "G", "H" and "J". Yellow crane rail markings denote the perimeters of the areas. Containers are stored in every area. Beyond the storage areas are two large warehouses, the smaller of the two having a double pitched roof, the larger one having a single roof. There are two lorry parks and two car parks, one car park much larger than the other. At the far end of the complex are main roads with roundabouts, a railway line with a train, green vegetation, and numerous vehicles. There are nine tall lighting towers around the complex. On plaques "Minima Industrial Modelmaking 0728-723379 Scale 1: 500" and "Walton Container Terminal Latitude 51@ 57'.4N Longitude 1@ 18'.7E Opened April 1981 Extended December 1989 A member of the Furness Withy Terminals Group". On warehouse roof twice "WCTL" .
