Crew sunbathing on the 'Gripsholm'
The forecastle deck - the deck situated at the bow of a ship - has only been very recently given over entirely to passengers. In the past this prime area would have been off-limits. It was therefore, at that time, the ideal place for crews to relax, away from the gaze of passengers. The photograph was taken on the St Lawrence River.
