A chart showing signals used by Lord Nelson at the Battle of Trafalgar, 21 October 1805

A print of the chart which showed the signals used by Lord Nelson at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. A diagram demonstrating the tactics Nelson planned to employ in his next battle were found in a letter from Nelson to his elder brother, William. This was a very exciting find, as only a few sketches by Nelson of his earlier battles have survived but each was drawn after the event.
