A Dutch fleet getting under way in light airs
In the centre middle distance a ship in starboard-bow view has her main topsail set and her fore topsail loosed on the cap. A galjoot is close to starboard. A number of ships are in the background including an admiral of the van and another ship with flag at the main.
The drawing is approximately dated by the watermark. The signature seems to be genuine but may have been added circa 1700.
