A full hull model of a second rate warship, 90 guns
A scale: 1:64, full hull model of a 90-gun warship made entirely in wood with metal and organic material fittings and painted in realistic colours. The hull is painted lead white below the waterline, with a broad black-painted strake above, and varnished or polished wood above the waterline with blue-painted panels along the bulwarks. The model depicts a warship with three gundecks. Fittings include provision for a large figurehead, forecastle with catheads, provision for the foremast, stove chimney and belfry, waist with provision for the mainmast, upper deck with taffrail, poop deck with three stern lanterns, stern and quarter galleries arranged over three decks and rudder. The model is mounted on three inline turned wooden column supports and displayed on a rectangular wooden baseboard which appears to be the floor of a display case.
