A view of the Observatory in Greenwich Park...[and] A view of Deptford and London taken from Flamsteed Hill in Greenwich Park

A line engraving of the Royal Observatory at Greenwich. It is from an odd perspective, the lower part of the hill is flat, with a sharp cliff up to the Royal Observatory. The road through the Queen's House, the windmills on the Isle of Dogs and deer in the park are all clearly visible. In the distance, the only tall buildings in London appear to be churches. The upper view is captioned: 'A view of the Observatory in Greenwich Park, belonging to the King's Professor of Astronomy' and the lower one 'A view of Deptford and London taken from Flamsteed Hill in Greenwich Park'.
