Scale: circa 1:12. Model of the yacht Alarm (1830) which has been realistically painted and made from wood with metal and organic material fittings. The hull is carvel built plank-on-frame and painted black above the waterline. The bowsprit is rigged with two sails. The single mast is rigged and has a gaff. The gaff sail has 19 mast hoops and all the sails have been realistically made from coarse cotton and made up of several pieces. A spare yard is stowed vertically on the port side. The rudder can be worked using the tiller. Deck fittings include a skylight, a covered companion hatch, and a tiller.
