A photographic print of Kathleen Alice Taylor with 'Slabbie', a large black/white cat resting on her hands in a reclining position. The cat is looking at the camera while she is looking at the cat. Kathleen is dressed in a dark coat. Kathleen Taylor and Herbert Slade were married on 15 March 1915 at St. James' Church, Milton, Portsea.
The photograph is captioned 'April 1914'.
Engineer Lieutenant Herbert Allan Slade joined the battleship at HMS Hercules's (1910) commissioning on 31 July 1911. He was then appointed to RN College Dartmouth on 4 May 1914. This photograph may be when the ship was in refit and he had time for shore leave.
