Scale: Unknown. A model of a Hall's patent anchor made entirely in brass and plated a silver finish. The plating is worn in places and tarnished. The shank is rectangular in section with rounded sides and corners. Along the length of one broad side is inscribed "N. Hingley & Sons. Sole makers." and along the length of the opposite side is inscribed "Halls. Latest improved pattern". The top of the shank is rounded and has two notches on either side to accommodate a D-ring shackle that swivels on a rounded-headed rivet. The shank pivots on the crown in an arc of about 80 degrees. The bottom of the crown is slightly convex and has a rectangular aperture through which the bottom of the shank can be seen. The crown curves upward to support a pair of flat rectangular plates with rounded ends. The plates support a pair of arms which each have an embossed diamond on one side and a circle on the other. The arms terminate in a pair of pointed flukes.
