Anchor model
Scale: Unknown. A model of a Perrin's proposed anchor (1829) made entirely in steel which has been painted or patinated a black finish. The shank is a diamond shape in section, with slightly flat edges, and tapers out towards the crown. The arms are a crescent shape with the same cross section and curve upwards and are complete with a pair of flat triangular-shaped palms with pointed bills. Towards the top of the shank there is a small rectangular section with a pair of small shoulders either side on which the shank would rest. The rounded top is drilled and fitted with a large swivelling bow shackle.
