Anchor model
Scale: Unknown. A model of a round oak stockless anchor (1912). The model is made entirely from brass and consists of a tapering shank which is rectangular in section with two rounded sides. It is connected to the crown assembly by a large horizontal pin and pivots through an angle of approximately ninety degrees. The U-shaped crown is rectangular in plan with the underside intersected by cross-shaped bars. Above, the arms curve upwards at ninety degrees and run parallel to the shank finishing with tear drop shaped palms tapering towards a point. The top of the shank finishes with a swivelling D-shaped shackle held by a pin whilst the main body of the shank has been cast with the inscription: 'THE ROUNDOAK STOCKLESS ANCHOR'.
