Anchor model
Scale: Unknown. A model of an anchor made entirely in wood, with brass fittings, which has been stained a golden brown colour. The shank is rectangular and the top of which is bevelled so that the top face forms a diamond shape. A large, irregularly-shaped, oval brass ring is attached to the top of the shank and swivels freely within a circular aperture. The large stock is formed from two lengths of wood which are secured together and to the shank by six brass square hoops (two missing). The bottom of the shank divides into three within one plane, the central part terminating in a pointed crown, the outer two parts curving outward to join up with the bills. A pair of arms extends from this point and terminates at a point where the two other parts of the shank connect with the bills. In profile the anchor resembles an arrow with the shank forming the shaft and the crown and arms forming the arrow-head. At the ends of each arm is a conventionally-shaped palm (one palm missing).

Delivery to the UK is £10 for a single framed print.
