Anchor model
Scale: 1:12. Model of an anchor patented by J. Coryton (circa 1862?). The model has been made entirely in iron and is a patinated dark grey colour, similar to the anchor it depicts. There are two shackles attached to either end of the shank by bolts secured with nuts. The shank has been cast in two halves, divided longitudinally and is secured by a nut and bolt near the crown. The palms have limited movement turning in an ark of around 60 degrees. The name "THE CORYTON ANCHOR" has been cast in relief lettering along one side of the shank.
Original size: 525 mm x 216 mm x 59 mm
