Anchor model - wooden killick
Scale: unknown. Model of a wood and stone killick anchor complete with a section of rope cable. The main body is made from three circular wooden dowels, the two shorter of which are lashed to the longer vertical one in a v-shape, at an approximate angle of 30 degrees at the base. There is tapering rectangular block of white stone which has been drilled and bridges all three wooden dowels at about half-way up the shanks and wooden arms. At the top of the shank is fitted a rope anchor ring to which the cable has been tied. The two shorter arms are finished to sharp points to provide grip when in use on the seabed.
