Augsburg dial for latitudes 10├×_-82├×_ north. The compass is silvered and has a central eight-point rose. The 'west' point has been given incorrectly as 'OR' rather than 'OC' (Latin initials). The magnetic variation is indicated as 18├×_ west of north and the remainder of the dial-plate is engraved with floral engravings and geometric patterns. The latitude arc is divided [10├×_]-[82├×_] and a table of latitudes which lists a few places around Europe is engraved on the back of the compass, headed 'Eleva. Poli.'.
