Barges and other craft on the River Thames?
A scene depicting barges, lighters, tugs and other craft on what is possibly the Thames. The well-known marine-painter W. L. Wyllie was born in London to an artistic family and trained at Heatherley's Academy and Royal Academy Schools, where he first exhibited in 1868. Later, Wyllie lived for some years near Rochester and then moved to Portsmouth.
