Blunderbuss

Blunderbuss. The stock, possibly made of walnut, is fully stocked to the muzzle with a brass butt plate with tapered tongue. The butt is decorated behind the barrel tang by a swelling which merges via a neck into a formalised scallop shell. Very long plain brass trigger guard and two brass ramrod pipes with plain tapered wooden ramrod set in the underside of stock. The lock is a sidelock flintlock. The barrel is octagonal at the breech and has a flared muzzle. The calibre is 1.3in. Inscribed on the barrel are three marks which are indistinct but may read: 'Gunmaker's Company' view and proofmark (crown over 'V' within an oval), crown over 'IB' and crown over 'G'. Jonathan Buttall is listed in the Board of Ordnance records as 'Founder of Brass Furniture for Small Arms to the Ordnance'.

Manufactured in the UK

All products are printed in the UK, using the latest digital presses and a giclée printmaking process.

We only use premium branded inks, and colours are independently verified to last between 100 and 200 years.

Delivery & returns

We print everything to order so delivery times may vary but all framed pictures are despatched within 5-7 days via courier or recorded mail.

Due to the coronovirus pandemic and Brexit situation, current shipping times may be longer, particularly for destinations outside the UK.
