Brazilian raft or Jangada, port
Scale: circa 1:12. Full hull model of a Brazilian raft or Jangada from around 1890, used by fishermen in estuaries and coastal waters. The hull is constructed as the full size vessel with five logs of the piÃ”Ã²Ã¡_ba tree, pinned together with large wooden treenails or pegs, and a centreboard fitted immediately abaft of the mainmast. The model is equipped with two paddles, a stone killick anchor and a rudder.
