Bust depicting Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805)
Painted earthenware bust representing Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805). The face is painted in naturalistic colours and the figure is shown wearing a uniform coat coloured blue, with gold lace, two medals, two stars and a white order ribbon. It has brown hair with no queue. The bust stands on a painted flared plinth, moulded with the Prince of Wales feathers and the letters 'GR' flanked by the lion and unicorn. 'NELSON' is impressed on the reverse of the bust.
