Captain Francis Crozier, commander of HMS 'Terror'
Member of Sir John Franklin's fourth and fatal last expedition of 1845 aboard 'Erebus' and 'Terror' to traverse the last unnavigated section of the North-West Passage. The entire expedition complement, Franklin and 128 men, died after their ships became icebound in Victoria Strait near King William Island in the Canadian Arctic.
