Cargo vessel
Scale: Unknown. A waterline model of a cargo vessel. The hull is painted black, with white bulwarks at the stern quarters. The decks hatch covers are painted a uniform mid-grey, with the exception of the superstructure decks, which are green. The foredeck has anchor cables partly visible in two parallel lines. The main deck has three hatches inline, the middle one taking up most of the deck area. Between the three hatches are a pair of near-identical cranes, painted white, mounted on tall swivelling posts. They are depicted facing one another and the foremost crane has a green-and-white striped armature. The first and third hatches are small and square in plan view. The superstructure is placed at the stern, painted white and is a rectangular box in shape. The bridge, or pilot house, appears to occupy the entire upper deck and is flanked by a pair of large, prominent bridge wings. Atop the bridge is an intricate radar mast. On either side of the superstructure is a pair of lifeboats stowed on davits. Aft of the boats is a pair of tall funnels, rectangular in section, that rise from the deck and are adjacent to the superstructure. The funnels are French blue with two broad white horizontal stripes near the tops. On base of model '509'.
