Caucasian kindjal

Caucasian kindjal, probably owned by Lieutenant-General Sir Archdale Wilson (1803-1868). The hilt is a shaped, 'all-through' tang has, applied to each side, a plaque of ivory (or perhaps bone) which is secured to its partner, through the tang, by three brass rivets more or less equally spaced longitudinally.
