City from Limehouse
A drawing of the River Thames, by Wyllie, depicting two steam tugs and several lighters rafted to a Thames barge on the right. The city is visible in the distance along with a larger cargo ship and a crane. During the mid-1870s, Wyllie spent much time on a barge, converted into a floating studio, going up and down the River Thames.
