Cobo Bay, Guernsey

A sketch demonstrating the relationship between land, sea and sky near Cobo Bay, Guernsey. Everett has used loosely painted brush strokes to indicate the principal elements of water, clouds and the rocks. Everett visited Cobo Bay, Guernsey, in the Channel Islands between January and March in 1911. He stayed at the Rockmount Hotel, which had a view directly out to sea, for three months expressly to paint the sea. He also revisited the area for three months between 12 January and March 1937 when he rented a studio on the cliffs at Grande Rocque near Cobo Bay. The painting is inscribed 'Cobo' verso.

We print everything to order so delivery times may vary but all framed pictures are despatched within 5-7 days via courier or recorded mail.
