Consists of an ivory staff and four vanes, signed on side one 'Thomas Tuttell Charing X Londini fecit', and on side two 'Fait par Tho: Tuttell Ingenieur de sa MajestÃ”Ã²Ã¡Britanique pour les Instruments Mathemathiques Ã”Ã²Ã¡Ã”Ã²Â® Londres'. The vanes are in two sections held together by brass pins and vane four has a fixed ivory horizon. The scales are 90-34 (side one), 90-20 (side two), 90-10 (side three) and 90-4 (side four). It's vice versa for altitude and zenith distance. This instrument is regarded as a presentation set.
