Dirk, after 1856, which belonged to Captain H.C. Lockyer
The hilt of the dirk consists of a crosspiece with inverted quillons and acorn terminals. On the obverse of the cross is an embossed badge. The badge contains a foul anchor with a crown above, surrounded by a laurel wreath. On the reverse of the cross there is a spring catch operated by a button.
