Dutch and English ships arriving at Naples
Image information
Dutch and English ships arriving at Naples
The main ship, seen in stern view, bears the coat of arms of Amsterdam and it fires a salute as it approaches what appears by comparison with BHC1897 to be Naples harbour. There are two English ships approaching in the distance on the starboard-tack. The boat in the foreground conveys dignitaries with two trumpeters.
