Earthenware figure of a sailor
A flat-backed figure of a sailor, standing with legs crossed in a dancing pose and brandishing a bag of money in his left hand. He has long hair, a blue jacket with gilt lace, a striped waistcoat, black neckerchief and holds a pink-coloured straw hat. The white base is extended to form a wall behind the figure painted yellow and brown. The upper part of the back is moulded and gilded, the lower part is flat and white and the base is enclosed. A gilt line is painted around the edge.
