Edward Hawke Locker

A half-length portrait facing to the left. Positioned within a painted oval, the sitter, the youngest son of Captain Locker the Lieutenant Governor of Greenwich Hospital, wears a black coat. He entered the civil side of the navy and in 1804 became secretary to Sir Edward Pellew, a post he retained until 1814. In 1819 he became secretary of Greenwich Hospital and civil commissioner in 1824, a post he held for twenty years. Locker carried through the project originally thought of by his father, also Edward Hawke Locker, to have a gallery of naval pictures and portraiture in the Painted Hall at Greenwich.Henry Wyndham Phillips

Manufactured in the UK

All products are printed in the UK, using the latest digital presses and a giclée printmaking process.

We only use premium branded inks, and colours are independently verified to last between 100 and 200 years.

Delivery & returns

We print everything to order so delivery times may vary but all framed pictures are despatched within 5-7 days via courier or recorded mail.

Due to the coronovirus pandemic and Brexit situation, current shipping times may be longer, particularly for destinations outside the UK.
