Equipment model; Anchor model; Killick
Scale: Unknown. A model of a killick from Newfoundland consisting of two slightly curved pieces of wood notched together and tapering to a point at their ends to form a flat cross-shape. There is an artificially shaped tall conical stone with a flat bottom on top of the wooden cross which is held in position by a series of six wooden rods, two of which come up though one of the wooden arms whilst the other four are secured either side of the other wooden arm. Both the rods and stone form the entire length of the shank and are held into position by a rope lashing at the top.
