Equipment model; Anchor model; Killick
Scale: Unknown. A model of a killick from China. The shank consists of a tall piece of wood square in section which tapers out to a rectangular section at the crown. On either side are two upwardly curved arms which taper to a point and are attached by a single wooden peg at their lower ends together with a series of rope lashings further up. Immediately above the rope lashings and at the top of the shank are two holes for attaching rope to for tripping and for the killick cable. The top of the shank finishes in a rectangular section with a small neck carved in to accommodate further rope lashings.
