Fairmile F Type MGB 2001 (1944)
1902 x 777 mm
Scale 1:32. A folded dyeline copy of a ship plan, showing an incomplete outboard profile, engine deck and section layout design drawing of the prototype Fairmile F Type Motor Gun Boat 2001. The MGB 2001 was an attempt to combine an air cooled aeroplane engine for use in a fast warship. Problems with the installation of the engine and a lack of further Admiralty interest meant the vessel was never operational. This plan was drawn by A. French [Draughtsman at Fairmile Marine flourishing 1944].
