Flintlock pistol

The walnut stock is fully stocked to the muzzle. It is fitted with a brass trigger guard, brass butt cap and single brass ramrod pipe. The lock is a sidelock flintlock and is fitted with flint. The barrel is of circular section and smoothbore. The calibre is 0.75in. Engraved on the lockplate is: 'TOWER Crown' over 'GR' and on the sideplate: 'L'Espion March 2d 1795 HC'. The 'L'Espion' was a French corvette of 18 guns, Captain Magendie, that was captured by HMS 'Lively', Captain G Burlton, on March 2nd 1795 after a two hour action off Brest. The 'L'Espion' was renamed HMS 'Spy' and was sold in 1801. The 'Lively' was wrecked in 1798 near Cadiz.

All products are printed in the UK, using the latest digital presses and a giclée printmaking process.

We only use premium branded inks, and colours are independently verified to last between 100 and 200 years.

Delivery & returns

We print everything to order so delivery times may vary but all framed pictures are despatched within 5-7 days via courier or recorded mail.

Due to the coronovirus pandemic and Brexit situation, current shipping times may be longer, particularly for destinations outside the UK.
