From Mirach
This is a mosaic of 24 photographs, each of which is 30 shots of 400 seconds. Seeing this photograph you can appreciate how the galaxies Messier 31 and 33 appear symmetrically on either side of the star Mirach. We can also see the two smaller galaxies of M31: M32 and M110. The nearest large galaxy to our own shown in the top left of this image. Born digital photograph entitled 'From Mirach', taken by Raul Villaverde Fraile in Ocentejo, Spain on 14th November 2018. Taken with Takahashi FSQ 106ED telescope with a Idas lps 2" lens and Sky-Watcher NEQ6Pro mount, Canon 6D 414mm f/3.9. Runner-Up in Galaxies category of Astronomy Photographer of the Year 2018.
