Full hull model, breeches buoy, with grapnels
A contemporary full hull model of a breeches buoy, circa 1820-40. The model is constructed in frame with a canvas or leather skin applied to the lower portion. It is complete with a figure and the wooden frame above is fitted with a metal sheave block.
