Full hull model, cutter type yacht, port broadside
Scale: 1:48. A contemporary full hull model of a yacht circa 1770, built plank on frame. The model is decked, equipped and fully rigged with the original (restored with nylon gauze) sails. Measuring approximately 38 feet in length by 16 feet in the beam it was 30 tons burden. It has not been possible to identify this extremely rare model but it has long been thought to represent a private British yacht used for leisure sailing.
