Gaiassa on the river Nile, Egypt
The gaiassa is a cargo boat of the Nile, traditionally used for bulk loads such as stone, hay, gravel and clay pots. The masts are banded to signify the owners and its principal characteristics were the enormous rudder and lateen sails.
