Gun-sighting telescope
This heavy brass telescope is focused by rotating the eyepiece end. Marks on the body indicate that there was once a bracket attached to it, either for a stand or to fix the telescope to something else. It was probably used on a ship as a fixed telescope; for example, by a gun layer, who controlled the elevation of the gun barrel when firing.
