Half a pair of snow goggles
A relic of Sir John Franklin's last expedition 1845-1848. Half of a pair of steel-rimmed spectacles made into snow goggles. One eyepiece remains, the lens has been replaced by a circular, concave piece of wood with a slit across the centre. This was intended to cut down the glare from the snow and prevent snow blindness. The bridge of the spectacles is padded with thread.

We print everything to order so delivery times may vary but all framed pictures are despatched within 5-7 days via courier or recorded mail.
Due to the coronovirus pandemic and Brexit situation, current shipping times may be longer, particularly for destinations outside the UK.
Delivery to the UK is £10 for a single framed print.
